Frozen Burst: How Does It Work?
Hi guys, I'm a newbie both here and on-game so this would seem like a dumb thing to talk about. It's just this: I'm a level 7 W/E who uses Frozen Burst for mobs and I don't think the spell has an effect.. I see no damage numbers on enemies and I they don't seem to slow down. (Yes, I use this when I mobbed and yes they are adjacent to me). Is there something wrong with what I'm doing?
Thanks for the help

Many AoE spells have different actual sizes of their affect range. i believe there are about 3 or 4 average area ranges. Some can extend several feet away from the target, others only affect individuals that are nearly touching the target.
In Frozen bursts case that might be the case, try getting moving a bit closer to any monster, just too make sure the skill works at all. if ya see yellow numbers, then it is workin! after use, you could also try moving away to see if they walk slow...

I keep a 5-9 no-requirements sword in an alt slot and swap to it and attack to be sure to get in range of "adjacent" spells. Try that out.
I've used FB and it works for me.

The sword is just used to get you into "adjacent" range by attacking them and doesn't matter - any melee weapon works.
I don't think there is much to see as far as the effect goes.

^^ Actually, that's the problem.. I engage a couple of enemies in melee and when I use FB, I can't seem to see any effect. When enemies are hit by FB, do they turn blue or something?

They flash red when they receive damage. Since your so close to the enemy, maybe your camera is a bit too close to the action to view the yellow numbers floating on the enemies' head.
